Best Bar Crawls and Events in Baltimore
Everyone loves a good bar crawl, and the city of Baltimore has tons of them every year. With multiple bar strips and a city that loves to have fun, there are always events going on. They can definitely get expensive, though, so it's unrealistic to make it to every one. You should know which ones are worth the investment and which ones you don't mind skipping. These are some recommendations from my friends and I.
PowerPlant Live! is known for their "rally in the ally" events. They're essentially huge day drinks in the "ally" in the middle of all the bars in PowerPlant, although some of the bars are open as well. This rally in particular is for St. Patrick's Day, so it is usually whatever Saturday is closest to March 17th. There are tons of green drinks (even green Jell-O shooters), live music, and people absolutely decked out in shamrocks. If you want to celebrate a holiday that's all about drinking, this is a good way to do it. Although the ticket is on the pricey side, your wristband comes with 5 drink tickets!
Not only a clever name, Federal-Hill-O-Ween is a super popular Halloween bar crawl. It takes place at night instead of the day, and all the best bars in Fed Hill participate with drink deals. Tickets aren't too expensive, so paying for discounted drinks isn't too painful. With everyone dressed in completely ridiculous costumes, you're sure to see some funny stuff. It's a really fun atmosphere and definitely a good time.
Because what screams 'bar crawl' more than this religious, family-oriented holiday?? This bar crawl in particular is pretty cool because when you check in with your ticket (which is relatively cheap in advance), in addition to a wristband you get a souvenir holiday mug. You can get your drinks in the mug throughout the crawl (which is kind of fun) and there are drink specials for being part of the crawl. Fells is a little less wild, so it's a really good place to pace yourself for a longggg day of bar crawling. Plus it's such a cute area to walk around, so it really is the perfect place for a bar crawl.
There's pretty much a bar crawl for any important day, and even some totally insignificant ones. It's impossible to make it to every one, but these are some that have been vetted and approved by me! Comment with any other bar crawls or events in Baltimore that you love!
