Chris Davis & Baltimore Bars

If you didn't know, Baltimore Orioles once star baseball player Chris Davis is the worst hitter in the history of the MLB. No, literally. The player once known as "Crush Davis" can no longer crush anymore and has officially set the MLB record for the most at bats not having a hit. The first baseman set a new, unfortunate Major League Baseball record when he went hitless in 49 at-bats.

However, most Baltimore bars are making the most out of this unfortunate turn of events. 

Lee's Pint & Shell in Canton:

Offering a two-hour open bar when Davis gets a hit."You must be here by the start of the game to enjoy the open bar!!" the bar noted.

Power Plant Live:

Offering 1,000 Smirnoff Orange Crushes on the Friday after Davis' first hit. They'll bump it up to 1,500 if that hit is a home run.

Hair of the Dog, in the Federal Hill/Riverside area:

Also making an offer::"Anyone who is at Hair of the dog when Chris Davis breaks his hitless streak will get a free corn dog."

Not so slugger Chris Davis has not been in the lineup since these offers have been made (imagine that) but the Orioles do open a series with the defending world series champion Boston Red Sox on Friday so... we'll see how this goes.
